Lena Adasheva is an anthropologist and visual artist. Lena has exhibited her work internationally at Hokin Gallery in Chicago, Sidney Mishkin Gallery in New York, Consumer Electronics & Photo Expo in Moscow, Chelsea Art Museum in New York, Russian Museum of Photography in Nizhny Novgorod among other venues. Her work has been reviewed by the Wall Street Journal and New York Daily News. Lena is a recipient of the Jazz Journalist Association’s Photo of the Year Award 2010. 

Lena studied photography at the Russian Museum of Photography in Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow Polytechnic College named after Mossovet, and drawing at the Art Students League of New York. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology and Studio Art from Hunter College of the City University of New York. Currently, Lena is a graduate student at the Department of Anthropology at Yale University.
